The Operational Challenge: The Speed of Digital Fraud

When a citizen falls victim to digital financial fraud, every second counts. Scammers rapidly transfer stolen funds across multiple accounts and different banking institutions to avoid detection.

Historically, the government faced a massive operational bottleneck:

communicating with dozens of independent banks across India to track these transactions, raise disputes, and freeze accounts was a slow, manual process. By the time the paperwork was processed, the fraudster had often already withdrawn the funds.

The Central Government required a highly secure, centralized “nerve center” capable of communicating instantly with every bank in the country. They needed a system that could automatically track stolen money, identify where it was moving, and instantly issue commands to freeze those assets before they could be withdrawn.

The Strategy: A National API Ecosystem Powered by AI

As the chosen technology partner for the Delhi Central Government, Travash engineered the I4C Bank Portal and API Status Dashboard.

Our strategy was to replace fragmented communication with a unified, real-time API ecosystem. We integrated the portal directly with the backend systems of all major Indian banks (including Axis Bank, Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, and more).

To ensure maximum efficiency, we integrated AI to continuously monitor transaction metrics, understand technical failure patterns, and streamline communication. This allows authorities to instantly address citizen complaints and retrieve stolen money as quickly as possible.

Step-by-Step Solution Architecture

We architected a comprehensive, high-security portal that gives authorities total visibility and control over fraud mitigation workflows. Here is how the system operates:

Unified Complaint Ingestion

The system aggregates fraud reports from multiple national sources, including the Cybercrime Portal and the 1930 Helpline. This creates a single source of truth for every reported crime.

Instant "Lien" (Account Freeze) Execution

When a fraud is verified via a Crime ID, the portal uses APIs to instantly send a request to the receiving bank to place a "Lien" (a hold) on the disputed amount. This freezes the fraudster's account and prevents the money from being transferred or withdrawn via ATM, POS, or Cheque.

AI-Driven Bank Performance & Failure Monitoring

To ensure banks are processing these freeze requests immediately, the dashboard provides real-time transaction metrics and bank performance tracking. The AI analyzes failure trends per hour—such as "Service Unavailable" or "Invalid RRN"—allowing the government's technical team to instantly spot and fix integration issues with specific banks.

Granular Auditing & Reporting

The system features deep reporting tools that allow officials to filter data by date ranges, specific banks, and crime IDs. This provides a transparent, auditable trail of total transactions sent, acknowledged, successfully frozen, and ultimately returned to the citizen.
